Text Box: To The Sensational Sorors of the BEAUTIFUL State of Alabama, Welcome to the beginning of a RED banner biennium! It is truly the Southern Region’s time to shine With great excitement and pleasure, I greet you as the 22nd director of the DYNAMIC Southern Region. This year alone will be an extraordinary one for our region with our innovative state cluster cycle this fall, influential Delta Days a the State Capitol this spring, and the impressive National Convention this summer in Orlando, Florida. My sisters, it just does not get any better than this! We are charged by our 23rd National President, Dr. Louise A. Rice, to reclaim 2008 in 2008, and we want to start this process during our state cluster cycle to reclaim that many sorors from the Southern Region alone! Our Friday night mixer, “We Want You Back,” was designed with the entire sisterhood of the state in mind. Saturday’s “Sisterhood DSTea” will renew and reenergize us, as we deliberate in workshops and training sessions to strengthen our region’s mission of DST: Delta Internal Development, Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Technology and Communications. My sisters, enjoy this weekend together! Enjoy learning and growing together. Enjoy the fun and fellowship together. And last , but definitely not least, enjoy the sisterly spirit that dwells among us whenever Deltas are gathered together! Remember, sorors of the BEAUTIFUL Stare of Alabama, it’s You, Me, DST...Hand in Hand, TOGETHER We Can! Enjoy the 2007 Alabama Cluster! Yours in DST, Christine Christine Nixon Southern Regional Director
